Well, a preacher's wife dressed to a T
Flashy dress and jewelry
When her brakes failed hit the highway rail

Then was headin' in a tunnel of light
And an angel appeared in white
And said, "You can't enter into heaven."

And she said, "Don't you know who I am?
I'm the wife of a great godly man
I was drivin to play a crusade"

The angel laughed and said,
"Let's hear the Master instead
Where you will go for eternity"

The Lord's voice thundered over the gate.
"Woman, you worship what's manmade
Your place is in hell with the worldly"

She said, "Lord, my sins can you discharge
If we wrestle but with guitars
Like Jacob if I win, you pardon my sins"

And He said, "Jacob fought an angel not me that night
But if you dare, play for your life
No man can glory over Me"

In her hands appeared a guitar of gold
She strummed to win the round for her soul
And her playin' went somethin' like this

He said, "You lift yourself, not Me
Your god is you as you play for your glory
Now see what guitar that exalts Me is"

A clear gold guitar appeared in His hand
Then He was joined by a seraphim band
And this was somethin' like what He played
